I have genuine concern for the people who are “confused” about the Bao short that showed before Incredibles 2, like do I need to change the ethnicity of the protagonist to yours and make the Bao a stereotypical food of your culture?
I think it’s more the issue of taking fictional actions literally instead of figuratively. Some people think that the lady ate her son. They don’t get it’s a metaphor for empty nesters and how they might view relationships with their children.
My family didn’t get stuck on the bao part, they got stuck on taking fiction at face value.
My issue is that no one had any issues when the Cloud from Partly Cloudy started crying, or when all the cars from the Cars franchise started talking and having human emotions. Pixar has animated numerous inanimate objects and yet there has never been so much “confusion” about those shorts/movies.
I have genuine concern for the people who are “confused” about the Bao short that showed before Incredibles 2, like do I need to change the ethnicity of the protagonist to yours and make the Bao a stereotypical food of your culture?
I hope that whatever angered you enough to force yourself into my lane and almost hitting my car, was solved. I hope that my honking to make you aware that I was there didn’t trigger anything. I hope that the multiple items you threw out your window to intentionally hit my car do not injure or hit any other cars windows.
If you are in Southern California, please be on the lookout for this aggressive driver. He seems to not care about the lives he could potentially put in danger
I’ve been on the verge of tears this entire day because of how stressed out I am and I’m sad that I don’t know how to explain myself to anyone without sounding like I’m whining
To put this into perspective, here are all the things i have on my plate:
- 16 units at school and I can honestly say I don’t know what’s been going on in my classes
- Research which requires me to meet up extremely early for meetings and do a lot of data input and clean up at school only
- Skit Director so six hour practices every week and putting everything together for the final product in a month
- Working rip I shouldn’t have accepted the job because now i have night shifts
- CA board and the duties I have with Family Olympics and all my other board duties
- being a big and keeping my littles happy and welcomed and involved but not having time to ensure to them that i miss them
- maintaining friendships and keeping up with how those close to me are doing in their lives
- maintaining a relationship where the only time I’m available is when he’s unavailable
On World Theatre Day, I got an internship for an Acting Academy to teach students how to act. And it’s moments like these where I appreciate all the little things in life because I’m doing two of my passions: acting and teaching.
Courtney Demone is a trans woman currently undergoing hormone replacement therapy and, as such, is starting to grow breasts.
Given this opportunity, she has a found a brilliant way to #FreeTheNipple.
Demone is launching the hashtag #DoIHaveBoobsNow and will post topless images of herself on Facebook and Instagram, “until those networks decide that my breasts have developed enough to be sexualized and worthy of censorship”
the truth is out there, and its in the heart of downtown toronto
what the actual fuck
this is toronto’s cultural pride and joy and it is slowly being consumed by an alien spacecraft
A significant portion of the city looks like this actually. Toronto’s aesthetic seems to be “real old buildings being devoured by real new buildings.” And like sometimes you have houses that look like a 12 year old’s first minecraft build sorta jammed between Victorian era stone houses it’s real fuckin weird
I feel like ocad and the ago should be added to this because holy shit toronto’s buildings are weird as fuck
THESE LOOK LIKE VIDEO GAME GLITCHES ARE WE SURE TORONTO ISN’T SECRETLY A GIANT GLITCH IN THE MATRIX??
My friend from high school lacked confidence. He refused to take pictures of himself or have photos taken of him because he wasn’t confident in his appearance. It’s been seven years and he’s now in a relationship, and the most reassuring thing i saw this week was his Instagram post with a bunch of selfies he took with his girlfriend. I don’t know who you are, i don’t know how you did it, but thank you for whatever you’ve done to give him the self-confidence and self-acceptance that i always wished he had.
